Privacy Policy

This policy is being prepared and is not yet published.

Until it is, here is what this website does with what you send it.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form: your name, email address, state, and whatever you choose to write. The sign-up form also records which briefing you picked. For each sign-up, story, or contact submission, we also create a random submission identifier and record the website source and the time our server received it.

What we do with it

Sign-up, story, and contact submissions are recorded in separate tabs in a private Google Sheet available to the campaign. Contact messages are also emailed to the campaign at info@UnitedToStopOnlineScams.org so a person can read and reply to them. Sign-up and story submissions are not emailed. We send campaign updates only when you have ticked the box asking for them.

Letters to lawmakers

This website does not send your letter to a member of Congress. It drafts the text and hands it to you. You send it yourself, throughdemocracy.ioor by contacting the office directly. What happens after you leave this site is covered by that service's own policy, not this one.

Getting in touch

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it removed, use thecontact form.
